Turk dog and I discovered a new dog park today at Liberty Park, a new park just south of the river.

Andy and I didn't do too much today. We were both pooped after the airshow yesterday so we took it easy today. We did buy a toy for Turk dog today and it is always entertaining to watch him "play" with his toys :)







We can't help but love him :)

Saturday August 11th, 2012

This next week is Week of the Eagles at Fort Campbell. Today they had an airshow at one of the airfields on post. It was my first airshow and I was surprised how much I enjoyed it!









The next 3 pictures are soldiers jumping out of an airplane!







Along with various planes they had a lot of army vehicles and artillery sitting out for the families to look at.



















At the end of the airshow a troop from 4th Brigade demonstrated a "mission". It was very neat to see the process from beginning to end. Obviously this was a "by-the-books" kind of mission and Andy informed me they don't normally do all the steps like they did today, but it gave me a good idea of what Andy will be doing in a few months :)

Wednesday August 8th - Friday August 10th, 2012

Over these few days we got part of our water pipe system replaced and it has been amazing! Prior to getting it replaced you could use ONE source of water in the house at a time. Now you can actually take a shower and turn on the water in the kitchen! :)

We also had a few flowers pop in in the backyard. They came up and died all within about a week!

I love these tree/bush things :) We don't have anything like this in Indiana and for some reason I just love them!





They made some changes to the trail that we always walk on...this used to be a very shaded area and now it's completely open!

Saturday August 4th, 2012 MY BIRTHDAY :)

I decided that I wanted to spend my birthday at home with Andy, my parents, Grandma and Al & Nick. Andy and I had a long week and wanted a nice, relaxing day. In the morning we had breakfast at Bob Evans (ooh how me and Andy miss Bob's :) and then went back to the house and had a nice homemade meal and Bday cake from Macri's!


And the BEST gift that I got today was jewelry from Andy :) I had NO idea what he was getting me and this was a very nice surprise :)
