Friday May 25th, 2012 - PART 2 Louisville Waterfront Park
Andy and I also spent some time walking around Louisville's Waterfront Park. Now, obviously I didn't take this picture but I could help but post it to really show how large and amazing this park is!
This is a statue that was in the middle of the park.
It was about 95 degrees on Friday and there were tons of people swimming in these fountains in the park! And I can't lie, I kind of wanted to jump in too :)
At the park they had these bikes for 2 or 4 people, neither Andy or my parents were interested in them... :)
I also got some great pictures of the Clark Memorial bridge that goes over the Ohio River into Indiana and of the steamboat Belle of Louisville, unfortunately we didn't have time though to do a river cruise :(

I THINK we have FINALLY figured out what we can feed Turk dog! After 3 weeks of canned and homemade dog food (but tons of intestinal problems!) I was directed to a specialty dog food store, Total Canine Care, in Clarksville! Don't ask why my vet didn't send me there right way :)
Anyway, this store is WONDERFUL and directed me to a dry dog food that Turk dog can actually eat!! Grain-free and specialty dog foods aren't available even at PetSmart so this store is a godsend!

Saturday May 20th - Tuesday May 22nd, 2012
I spent the last 4 days in North Carolina watching Soph, Isaac and Paige while Rach took Ella to get her last cast.
Soph and Isaac insisted on bubbles at 9am...Paige was the "bubble popper".
We also made t-shirts with t-shirt markers.
Soph and Paige (with a little bit of help ;) also made masks.
This is about the only time Paige wore the mask on her face...the rest of the time she wore it around her neck like a necklace :)
And I couldn't help taking this picture ;)

Mother's Day May 13th, 2012
I couldn't get home to see mom and grandma for Mother's Day this year :( But I did send them flowers :) These are the flowers me and Andy got for mom...
...and the flowers we got for Grandma :)
Instead I spent my day cleaning and getting ready for Andy to come home Tuesday!!!! So I made him cake balls :)

I found out today that Turk dog has quite a few allergies and I need to completely change what he eats on a daily basis for food and treats :(
Unfortunately it is not nearly as easy as I thought it would be to find a food that Turk dog can eat. I searched PetSmart for about an hour and after looking at about 15 different brands and both wet and dry food I found ONE brand that has only two flavors of wet dog food that Turk can have :/

I took some pictures on my walk with Turk dog today. There is a great trail literally one block from our house that begins in our neighborhood and goes along the river. I use this trail all the time to walk Turk dog and jog. Its beyond convenient and it has some great views, tons of plants and flowers and quite a few historic and beautiful buildings along it. These pictures are a few of the buildings that I love along this trail :)

With Andy gone I have definitely been spending all my time with Turk dog. So much that I have actually started to wonder how Turk will feel when Andy comes home! Today I decided we should go to Dunbar Cave State Park. Dunbar Cave is a small state park here in Clarksville with a small lake, a few walking trails and a cave that's unfortunately no longer open for tours.
This is the beginning section for all the trails and it is definitely misleading! There's a reason that I only have a few pictures while on the trails - they were SOOO hilly! I could barely handle getting up the hill with Turk dog let alone try to take any more pictures.
I did manage to get a few pictures of some ducks in the lake along the trail. Suprisingly they weren't completely scared away by Turk dog! I know they're a little hard to see in these pictures! :(
I also managed to get a few pictures of the cave before Turk dragged me away! :)
